The long-awaited ultimate F1 Sound Package Exhaust System for the BMW M3 E9x Series is finally complete.
As many enthusiasts already know, the M3 E9x is a legendary machine—a car in which BMW took exhaust sound seriously from the factory, equipping it with equal-length long-tube headers as standard. Its naturally aspirated V8 character and high-revving DNA have made it one of the most iconic M cars ever created.
While many manufacturers focus on aggressive volume and impact through conventional X-pipe designs, we have long been developing our own F1 Sound Package with an extended collector-style layout designed to refine, sharpen, and elevate the exhaust tone to an entirely different level.
The defining feature of this exhaust system is its Double Z-Pipe design. By fully utilizing the uniquely long center-pipe space of the M3 E9x and incorporating two Z-pipes, the system allows the exhaust flow from both banks to interact in a highly controlled manner while preserving strong torque characteristics. The rear muffler itself required repeated redesign and refinement due to the extreme limitations of the heat-shield layout and the exceptionally tight space available under the vehicle. After countless revisions, we have finally achieved a system that stands apart from anything else on the market.
